letter # 4 Saskatoon
OK so I have just a little more time on the computer today to write to you and answer some of the questions that you have. First of all the person that talked to me is the son of the Representative of the mission president in our area, he is considered Elder Becks and my own even though he lives almost 40 miles away from us. to think traveling 40 miles to get to church that starts at 9 o'clock in the morning, doesn't that sound like fun. No one here talks like the Bonsteel's, to me they just sound normal but there was one person that without even telling her where we where from she asked us if we where from the states, and then she asked us if we where from Utah and this was the first time that we meet her.Hey Klarissa I got to meet a guy named Sunny the other day, that was his name, he is native with long hair. I don't think that he liked us though, he told us to go away, and to not talk to him, but he wasn't the one we were trying to contact it was his wife that we were trying to contact and her name was Charlene. Oh the other day we got what they call a turn over that is when some missionaries find a person that is in another area and they can't go to them so the send their information on to someone that can. his name is Cameron when we got to the door the one to the porch had some glass that was all smashed up on the floor and the door was looked like it was white washed but with blood all next to the door nob, talk about freaky, Elder Beck said that you see it all of the time out here. Also yesterday we where just doing some tracking going door to door and the last door that we got to was someone that invited us in to talk to him, a first for something like that to happen, and just asked us about the book of Mormon and about our religion what things we believe in and all of that and we ended up talking to him for about 1/2 an hour. The weather here has been great it has been in the positive numbers and all of the snow is melting away so everyone looks a little confused about it all because the snow in not supposed to melt for another 4 or 5 months. but it is all going well, I should be getting your packages sometime this week. the mail is slow up here but I love you all and hope that you all have a grate week. Love, KOHL
