still in Thompson

So I am still up here in Thompson and everything is going well. No we haven't
set a date yet with Melanie but as soon as she gets back from her job, she is a
fly in nurse for the reserves, we will get one with her. When I got the call
from Pres. Morgan for transfers I was a little surprised, I am now the senior
companion, and I am greeny bustin' as they call it. My new companion is Elder
Radford, who comes all of the way from New Jersey, so some of the members where
excited to hear that it wasn't a missionary from Utah or Idaho. But it is his
second transfer out from the MTC so he is still a little fresh and still
learning, just as I am. They have also changed the Zone that we are in up here,
we are now in the Brandon Zone, aka the O-Zone, so for zone conference we have
to drive a total of 10 hr. instead of the normal 8 hr. to Winnipeg.
Well today I tried to get a Manitoba Drivers License but you need to have two
proofs of residency, my passport isn't proof enough for them and they won't take
just any old letter from the mission home but is has to be a bill a bank
statement or something like that, just a little hard for us because everything
goes through the mission office, we don't see any of the bills at all.
Out side of our apartment we have one of the cities only fire trucks the one
with the ladder on it. they are installing new windows in every ones apartments
so they need it to get up to the third floor, there is nothing else in the city
that is tall enough to reach up that high. :)
Well everything is going good and we are teaching a lot and having fun in the
summer heat. And I hope that all of you are also having fun for the last little
